Mr. D

My wife and I got a chance to watch one of our favourite comedians in Saskatoon. For my birthday, I got a ticket to see Gerry Dee live. We went and checked it out and were laughing long after the show. I also bought Gerry's book and we got a quick picture with him. Although the 'picture taker' didn't really know how to use an iphone, at least we got a picture...

The moose are loose!

On a trip southwest of Watrous during Thanksgiving Monday, my dad, sister-inlaw and I had the opportunity to hunt moose with our cameras. Thanks to my dad's knowledge of where they were, we were able to see about seven of them. Here are some pictures from that.

Olympic medal!

I had a cool opportunity last week as more than 700 students and over 100 advisors descended on Watrous for the SLC event Make A Wave. The provincial event was last held in the community in 1993...in any case, some of the guest speakers included Fred Fox, Terry Fox's brother and women's Olympic curler Cori (Bartel) Morris who won silver at Vancouver. Morris also brought with her the silver medal she won and let me try it on. Students also got the chance to pose with the medal too--it was pretty cool!

At the beach - one last time

We went to Manitou Beach over the September Long-Weekend for essentially one more kick at the can before summer disappeared. We have been able to get down there more than before which I hope will continue in summers to come since we only live a couple of minutes away...in any case here are a few pictures from that evening...

Riders/Esks

My last chunk of pictures - this was the Saskatchewan/Edmonton CFL game I went to at the beginning of July. I got to watch my favourite QB Kerry Joseph get some time but the Riders came up with a big win. Here are some shots from that matchup.

Car Show

The 21st Annual Fun Run Auto Show and Shine Car Show took over Main St. in Watrous July 28. A variety of vehicles were on hand during another beautiful day. I also helped out Access 7 with their Cruisin' on 7 program which will be aired across the province. Anyway here are some pics of vehicles from the day.
